FAQ

***Overview***

What is Vaping?
'Vaping' is the act of inhaling water vapor through a personal vaporizer or electronic cigarette.

What is an e-cigarette?
A cigarette-shaped device containing a nicotine-based liquid that is vaporized and inhaled, used to simulate the experience of smoking tobacco.

What is an Atomizer?
The atomizer is the heating element in an e-cigarette that produces vapor.

What is a Cartomizer?
Cartomizers are disposable cartridges with atomizers built into them.

My new device doesn't work.
If you are using a regulated (variable) device, start by clicking the fire button rapidly 5 times. Many regulated devices will "go to sleep" if not used for an extended period of time. The same holds true if you just switched to a fresh battery. For more use concerns, consult the Trouble Shooting Guide Here.

 What is "E-liquid"?
“e-liquid” is the flavored liquid that will be heated to produce the vapor you inhale. There are thousands of flavors to choose from.

What is in the E-liquid?
Most e-liquid is a combination of Pharmaceutical grade Propylene Glycol (PG), Vegetable Glycerin (VG) and food-safe flavorings, and a specified level of nicotine as required.

What is Propylene Glycol (PG)?
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has classified propylene glycol as an additive that is “generally recognized as safe” for use in food. For more information on Propylene Glycol, please Click Here.

What is Vegetable Glycerin (VG)?
Vegetable Glycerin is an all-natural liquid generally extracted from plant oils, in particular, soy, coconut oil, and palm oil. Like Propylene Glycol it is considered safe by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. For more information on Vegetable Glycerin, please Click Here.

What is Reduced PG (RPG)?
RPG is our custom blend of both Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Glycerin. This is the most commonly selected formula by our customers for the best in flavor and vapor production.

What is mg?
"mg" Stands for milligrams. It is most easily understood as the strength of a nicotine solution. The higher the number, the stronger the solution.

What is ml?
"ml" Stands for milliliter. It is a unit of measurement relating to volume.

How do I know what nicotine level to choose?
Selecting a nicotine level depends on the level of nicotine the user's body is used to consuming. Please refer to our nicotine selection chart for a general guideline.

Should I pick a high level of nicotine? If I go too high can I take out nicotine?
We recommend lower levels to a new user. Nicotine can always be added to strengthen a solution, but CAN NOT be removed.

If I vape your product and I have a reaction to it, what should I do? Should I just go back to smoking?
If you are using a product and are having a reaction to it, start by trying to figure out which component you're reacting to. A small number of individuals are allergic to some of the components in e-juice, which are food grade and GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe). If you've eliminated all possibilities for rare food sensitivities and these symptoms persist, consult a doctor.

Can I drink my e-juice?
These products are a safer alternative to smoking when used as directed. They should never be used in a manner in which they are not intended.

I don't like this flavor. Can I return it?
Due to health regulations and sanitary reasons, once a bottle is opened, it cannot be returned.

Can I get free samples?
Unfortunately, the cost of sending free samples to all those who ask for them is a financial impossibility. We do have countless flavors to sample at our retail locations.

What do you mean by Tank Cracker? What do I need to use to vape a Tank Cracker flavor?
Tank crackers are juices with flavor components that are generally tougher on plastic style tanks. For these juices we strongly recommend using either metal or glass tanks, which are resistant to cracking caused by flavors. Failure to follow these guidelines for recommended flavors is done at the user’s peril.

What is a rebuildable atomizer (RBA)?
A rebuildable atomizer is a unit which allows the user to replace the perishable parts of an atomizer. It also allows the user to customize their vaping experience.

What is a rebuildable dripping atomizer (RDA)?
A rebuildable dripping atomizer has many of the same characteristics as an RBA but must be used for dripping.

What is Dripping?
Dripping is the act of manually adding small amounts of juice (drops) to the users’ atomizer.

What do I do if I want to change the flavor in my atomizer?, cartomizer?, tank?
Flavor changing in your device depends on the type of device you are using. A standard atomizer usually requires a quick "dry burn" to remove most of a flavor. An RBA/RDA requires the replacement of the wicking material. Cartomizers are much more limited as far as flavor changing. They are considered single flavor devices and disposable.

***Hardware***

What does 510 or 808 mean? What is the difference? Is that a thread count?
The numbers 510 and 808 refer to the size and thread type that exists between a user’s battery and atomizing unit. These types are mutually exclusive unless the user has a specific 510/808 adapter.

What is voltage?
Voltage is a measure of electrical potential.

What is wattage?
A measure of electrical power expressed in watts.

What is better voltage or wattage?
They are both measures of energy, therefore; it is a matter of preference.

What does my batteries Amp limit relate to?
Amp limits relate to safety guidelines to using batteries in a mechanical device with a rebuildable atomizer (See Chart). It is important to use your batteries in a way that does not exceed their levels for safe operation.

What is ohm?
It is a unit of electrical resistance.

What is sub-ohm?
Sub-Ohm vaping is the act of vaping where the atomizer resistance is rated below 1 ohm.

What is mAh?
mAh stands for Milliamp Hours. A unit for measuring electrical power over time. A battery rated higher in milliamp hours will last longer than a lower mAh battery over similar use.

How durable are the devices? Are they waterproof? Can I put them in my pocket? Can I drop it?
Even though these devices are constructed to the highest standards, a user should treat them with care. They are not waterproof. We do not recommend putting them in pockets where they might get crushed. Though a device may handle being dropped, we advise handing with care.

What is a "mod"?
A “mod” is the housing that contains the battery. This is what powers the heating of the coil that produces the vapor.

What is a "tank"?
A “tank” is where the liquid is stored. It attaches to the battery and uses a wick system to carry the juice to the coil.

What is a "drip tip"?
A “drip tip” is where you inhale from. It attaches to the top of the tank.

What kind of battery charger will I use?
Depending on the type of device/mod you purchase, there will either be a external charger in which you take your battery out of your device and put it into a charging bay, or a USB cord that will plug in or screw in to your electronic cigarette to charge it.

Can I charge my battery before it starts blinking?
Yes, you can charge the battery at any time. The light does not need to flash before putting it on the charger. Please remember that batteries do have a cycle life. If you charge them all the time (use it for 10 minutes, put it back on charge, use it again, and charge it again) it will shorten the lifespan of your batteries.

How often should I clean my atomizer?
Cleaning atomizers (e.g., washing or dry burn) doesn’t do much to lengthen their lifespan … and can ruin them. Atomizers don't need excessive cleaning because they burn off residues relatively efficiently. A standard atomizer can be cleaned by adding 2 or 3 drops of plain PG to them and pressing the fire button.

Does my E-Cig require any special maintenance?
You can keep your E-Cig in good working order by performing some basic cleaning every so often. Gently clean the contacts between the battery & atomizer with tissue or a cotton swab to ensure a good electrical connection is made. Never over-tighten your atomizer/tank on your battery, or your battery on the charger. Do not store your device in a pocket where it could be subjected to pressure when you sit down - we regularly see devices that need repair due to the control head seperating from the body of the device because they have been sat on.

How long do the parts last?
Although the E-Cig products we stock are manufactured to very high standards, they are functional devices that will be used fairly regularly and so they will wear out over time and eventually fail. This is to be expected and these parts should be considered semi-disposable. Cartomizers and atomizer heads are expected to last 1-2 weeks depending on your usage level, and you should replace the head or coil in your device as soon as you notice a drop-off in vapor production or the taste deteriorates.

How do I smoke my weed in this device?
These devices are not intended, in any way, for use with federally prohibited substances.

I accidentally broke my device! Can Nixteria fix it?

Unfortunately due to FDA deeming regulations we cannot repair any electronic cigarettes.
